Please, please. Hold your applause. I am but a simple college student, with simple goals. I have made it.

Okay, but seriously. I still miss Max, but Kamie was a great replacement (I wish they’d just make her the permanent new co-host instead of switching out every week).

Next on the docket: short films. Hulu partnered with Sundance to hold a short film competition, yada yada, there are a LOT of short horror films on Hulu. So I decided to watch as many of them as I could find. Including: Undo (2019), The Dunes (2019), Flagged (2019), Hidden Mother (2019), The Gillymuck (2018), Haunted, Horrifying Sounds From Beyond the Grave (2018), Urn (2018), The Ripper (2019), The Box (2018), Swiped to Death (2019), Carved (2018), The Rizzle (2018), Lippy (2018), and Ride (2019). The Hug (2018) was also a Huluween short, but I watched it two weeks ago.

Obviously, that’s wayyyy too many for me to do an individual rating for each short, so instead I’m just gonna list them in order from my best to worst (based solely on my trash opinions).

I watched nothing new when I was home for Thanksgiving, because I was looking for comfort and familiarity.

Saturday, I called out of work because I was sick, so it was a classic Netflix day. I watched the makeup-centered episode of Broken, about the prevalence and influencers and counterfeit makeup, and followed that up with The Eyes of my Mother (2016). Holy shit, guys. I was at a loss for what to watch so I googled “scariest movie on Netflix” and this one did not fucking disappoint. It’s about a girl who watches her mother get killed and then her dad/her kidnap the killer? And then she becomes a serial killer? It’s black and white and there is very little action on screen, but the pace is FAR from slow (if you’re paying attention). I followed that up with Truth or Dare (2017) which is essentially about-

My last film of the week, Eli (2019). So, SO close to being a really good spook, but the ending goes so far off the deep end that it kind of ruins the rest of flick. Oh well, I guess.
