Outside of me starting my “Best of the Decade in Horror” countdown (first post going live on Wednesday), I somehow watched other things. I mainly watched these before I made the poor decision to watch all of the movies on the “Best…” list, since I didn’t decide that until Wednesday (hence my copout of giving myself the extra needed days).
It’s also majority “housecleaning”-esque (finishing things I started previously) so I have less on my “Currently Watching” queue. All on Tuesday, I finished Haunted season 2, Murder on the Internet, and Deadly Legacy (the latter of which, I highly, HIGHLY recommend to any other true crime nerds- I know you’re out there!).
I also started watching two shows: season 6 of Bojack Horseman, since I’ve been one episode into the season since the day the season came out, and a sketch comedy show called Astronomy Club that I started on a whim on Monday because it had astronomy in the title and I freaking love space, y’all.
In terms of movies, besides the horror countdown, I went to the theaters on Sunday and rewatched Frozen II (2019) (this time with friends!) and went to the theaters again on Monday and watched A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (2019) AKA the Mr. Rogers movie and had a blast! It’s incredibly endearing and a really good introductory movie to teach men that it’s okay to talk about their emotions and let go of their toxic masculinity.
I saw Let It Snow (2019) as part of a “hot cocoa and holiday movie night”, and this is also the night I learned Disney+ has a section entirely composed of Christmas films that they titled non-denominationally “Holiday Films”, as though that will make up for the fact that they’re a historically anti-semitic company (Disney if you’re reading this, I’m totally kidding please hire me I need a job very soon).
Friday, I took a break from my “Horror Movie Countdown” to go to the movie theater and watch… a different horror movie. Yea, sounds about right. I saw Black Christmas (2019) and if the movie wasn’t enough to remind me that cis men are trash, then going onto Letterboxd and seeing every single man who watched it rate it 1.5 stars or lower was enough.
Lastly, I started season 10 of Bob’s Burgers after not realizing that the season had premiered, like, 12-ish weeks ago? I can’t believe Hulu never told me.
I don’t think I’ve ever watched this many new things in a single week (including the Countdown, coming soon). Is this how normal people live? Not watching the same thing 10,000 times, but instead watching new things? I’m exhausted.

This show doesn’t really do it for me but I still finished it because I love the concept of horror anthologies that are 30 minutes apiece
Murder on the Internet
This feels like a PSA high schools would do assemblies about and then make teachers show this documentary during advisory period
Deadly Legacy
I always thought Gacy was like 50 going after 8 year old boys but actually he was like 35 going after 15-20 year old boys and that feels like a significant difference (not saying better; murder’s still murder, John Wayne Clowndick)
